Last week, I encountered a Windows Installer issue while install and uninstall my python2 and python3 interpreter. It said ‘There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support or package vendor’. 

There are probably other software installer also encountered this problem. As the cause remain unknown to me, I found a great way to address it without messing with the Windows registry. 

Just use this Official Microsoft trouble shooter! 

Click ‘Next’ and choose your problem and the corresponding Installer/Uninstaller.

Then just wait until it finishes its work. Voila, the problem solved! I definitely will keep this little tool for future use 🙂 Have a nice day~
